Kyle Kotajarvi is a filmmaker and photographer with studios in Wanaka, New Zealand and Seattle, Washington.

For more than a decade, Kyle has built a timeless and emotive visual style with an emphasis on capturing a feeling.

Traditionally from a marketing and user experience design background (and also a former employee of Microsoft), Kyle’s balance of creative direction and marketing expertise have been foundational for brand success.

His work has been seen and trusted by millions throughout countless global marketing campaigns for the world’s biggest names.

While most at home in the Cascades of Washington State, Kyle spends the majority of his time on the road with his partner Maria and is currently at this studio in the mountains of New Zealand for summer.

Marketing hero film for Queenstown-based flight-seeing company Glenorchy Air. Production over the course of three days over Fiordland National Park showcasing their Fly / Cruise / Fly experience.

Marmot - Live Life
A passion spec project commissioned by Marmot celebrating the one life we have. Filmed in summer of 2022 in the Alps.

DJI - Alone in the Faroe Islands
To celebrate the launch of the DJI Mini 3 Pro, DJI challenged me to film a solo project in the Faroe Islands during the wild weather of spring. This production was filmed entirely solo with either the drone, or the camera locked off on a tripod.
